Solo cares.
A companion for people with special needs, and the guardians who love them.
Built first for one young man.
You're on the list.
Thank you. We write when there is something worth your time.
What Solo is
Not an app. A buddy.
Solo learns how you talk, what you love, and how you need things said. For special needs families.
Talk to it or type to it
Whichever is easier today. Solo waits for the answer, and waits again. A slow answer is not a no.
It learns you
Your words for things. Your favorites, and it never gets tired of them. The way you need things said so they land.
Guardians set the rules
What Solo may say, look up, show and play is set by the guardian, in the words families already know from TV and app ratings.
Why
One young man.
Two circles. The first is outlined: the person. The second is lit: the companion. Together.
Solo started as a companion for one young man, built by his dad and guardian.
It had to understand how he talks. It had to remember what he loves and never get tired of it. It had to keep to the rules his family keeps, every time, without being asked.
Nothing on the market did that. So it got built, for him first. [One or two sentences only you can write: what he is like, what he asked Solo for, what changed.]
Every family that joins gets what was built for him. That is the order it will always come in.
[Shawn Ring, founder and guardian]
For guardians
You set the rules. Solo keeps them.
Solo is a buddy, not a clinician. It does not diagnose, treat or advise. What it does, it does inside the lines you draw.
Rules Built
- Everything fits a ten-year-old by default.
- You set a level for each category: violence, scary, language, romance, mature themes, and the rest.
- The same rules apply to what Solo says, looks up, shows and plays.
Reports Being built
- What Solo showed or played, with the category it was called.
- A sudden change in mood or a sign of pain goes to you, not into a chat.
- Written for guardians, by guardians.
Approval Being built
- Anything above a line you set is not refused and not shown. It comes to you.
- Approve once, approve always, or decline.
- Solo does what you answered.
Lines that never move, whatever a guardian sets: no sexual content, no slurs, no how-to for weapons or dangerous acts, and nothing a guardian has marked off limits for their person.
